Having worked in glass since the mid 70’s, Gregg Mesmer and Diane Bonciolini began Mesolini Glass Studio in 1977 on Bainbridge Island, WA. Self-taught for the most part, they have collaborated on all their work that comes out of the Studio. The techniques used are varied and include fused glass, glass combined with concrete, stained glass, copper foil, glass paired with metal, and mosaics.
The past years have included Public Art venues and Artists in Residence opportunities in Kitsap, King, Yakima, and Snohomish Counties. They were awarded the honor of being named ‘Island Treasures’ by the Bainbridge Island Arts & Humanities Council in January 2015. This award is annually awarded to persons whose lives involve art and the humanities that enrich Bainbridge Island, WA. In 2024 we were honored as the ‘Best of Kitsap’ art studio. Currently they are glass instructors at BARN, Bainbridge Artists Resource Network of which Diane is a Founding Member.
It is important to mention that Gregg’s interests include all aspects of baseball, he is known for his volunteer coaching career and for his organizing of the Annual 4th of July ‘Stars & Strikes’ baseball game for ‘Old Timers & BI High School alumni who are eligible after four years from graduating.
